• MySQL: SUBSTRING_INDEX関数のリファレンス翻訳
  タイトルに挙げたMySQL関数をMySQL公式サイトで調べてみたところ、日本語のリソースが見当たらなかったので、自分で翻訳してみました。
  
  文字列 "str" から、"count" で指定した位置に出現するデリミタ "delim" の前までの部分文字列を返す。
  "count" が正の数ならば、左から数えて最後のデリミタまで全ての文字が返される。
  "count" が負の数ならば、右から数えて最後のデリミタまで全ての文字が返される。
  SUBSTRING_INDEX() は "delim" を検索する際、ケースセンシティブ（つまり大文字・小文字を区別する）にマッチするよう動作する。
  この関数はマルチバイトセーフ関数である。

  構文

  SUBSTRING_INDEX(str,delim,count)
  

  用例

  mysql> SELECT SUBSTRING_INDEX('www.mysql.com', '.', 2);
          -> 'www.mysql'
  mysql> SELECT SUBSTRING_INDEX('www.mysql.com', '.', -2);
          -> 'mysql.com'

   Returns the substring from string str before count occurrences of the delimiter delim. If count is positive, everything to the left of the final delimiter (counting from the left) is returned. If count is negative, everything to the right of the final delimiter (counting from the right) is returned. SUBSTRING_INDEX() performs a case-sensitive match when searching for delim.
  
  mysql> SELECT SUBSTRING_INDEX('www.mysql.com', '.', 2);
          -> 'www.mysql'
  mysql> SELECT SUBSTRING_INDEX('www.mysql.com', '.', -2);
          -> 'mysql.com'
